The new scheme launched by the Bellary District Aids Prevention Society (BDAPS), in association with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), to help HIV-affected people and their families, has started yielding results.Dakshayini and her husband have been living with HIV for the past eight years, and have been under Anti-Retroviral Therapy (ART). She is a field worker with Nityajeevana, an organisation of people with HIV/AIDS, and her husband a worker in the Bellary, Koppal and Raichur Milk Producers’ Union here. The couple have two children, both of whom do not have HIV.
