Cash crop development has assumed desired heights in the state of Sikkim, guaranteeing sustainable livelihood, ensuring employment generation and generating income for the rural masses in the state, claims the state Horticulture and Cash Crops Development department.  The department of Horticulture encouraged farmers to grow off-season vegetables.
