Calling for a shake-up of Goa’s government-run medical institutions, social organization Goyche Niz Mogi (GNM) has said that substantial upgradation of all aspects was needed in the sector from hygiene to infrastructure. In a memorandum to the chief secretary and health secretary, GNM president James Fernandes and vice president Kamla Parsekar demanded that all government hospitals and health centers should be made autonomous institutions answerable only to parliament and legislature.
